Donna Caddie is working with Waterlution to bring water learning experiences to New Zealand. Waterlution is a Canadian not-for-profit social enterprise that facilitates weekend long water learning experiences for young professionals from all sectors involved in water. Waterlution's vision is for the next generation of decision-makers- across all sectors and stakeholder groups - to be strong, informed leaders with a passion for and commitment to healthy catchments.
The director of Fluent Environmental is speaking about Water Security by Design at the upcoming Water Infrastructure investment and planning conference. Fluent Environmental is assisting the Hawke's Bay Regional Council in the project management and development of their Regional Water Strategy.
Hawke's Bay Regional Water Symposium uses Fluent Environmental and is introduced to new facilitation techniques. The meeting employed some fun facilitation tools such as "clicker" audience participation and polling technology, an interview matrix to help inform an action plan, a talk show on the Hawke's Bay 2050 project and a multi media presentation that capture event participation. Meeting participants enjoyed the mix of activities and speakers and positive and constructive participation occurred throughout the event.

The session will help attendees in designing and implementing communications and consultation activities that target more than ‘the usual suspects’ - even on a low budget. Her talk will concentrate on the water efficiency measures outlined and being progressed through Living Water Smart.
